We built A.X.E.L because tradesmen deserve software that actually works the way they do — not bloated enterprise tools or clunky spreadsheets. From quoting jobs and chasing invoices to CIS returns and team management, we've built it all from scratch, right here in Manchester.
Why We Built It
After 10+ years running businesses — e-commerce, coffee machines, digital marketing — we kept seeing the same problem everywhere: tradesmen are brilliant at their craft but drowning in admin.
We've renovated our own properties, helped mates on site, and spent enough time around the trades to understand the business from the ground up. The paperwork side is brutal — scribbling quotes on the back of receipts, chasing invoices through WhatsApp, losing leads because nobody called back, paying accountants hundreds just to file CIS returns.
The tools that exist are either built for office workers or priced like enterprise software. So we built something better — something designed for how tradesmen actually work, not how software companies think they should.
What Started Small, Grew Fast
It began as a simple lead capture tool. But once leads were coming in, the next question was obvious — why not send quotes from the same place? Then invoices. Then job tracking, expenses, team management, and materials.
